Here's my plan for tomorrow:
Transaction #1:
Buy 4 or more participating Hershey's products, Receive $5 RR
Buy 4 Hershey's Kisses Bags $2.50 each
Buy 2 Christmas Bags 8/$1 with in-ad coupon
Use 2 $1.00/2 – Hershey’s Kisses Bags, 7.5oz or Larger – (bricks.coupons.com)
Or $1.00/2 Hershey’s Kisses, Reese’s, Hershey’s Miniatures, York, Kit Kat, Rolo or Hershey’s Bliss bags, 7.8 oz or larger from SS 11/20 (exp 12/11)
Use $6 and $2 RR from last week
Pay $0.26 + tax, Receive $5 RR
Transaction #2
1 Revlon Top Speed Nail Polish on sale for $3.99
1 Dove Men+Care Antiperspirant/Deodorant $3.99
1 Christmas Bag 8/$1 with in-ad coupon
Use the $1/1 coupon for Dove+Care found here (scroll down to the bottom)
Use $1.00/1 Revlon product from Make This Season Stunning coupon booklet
And use $1.00/1 Revlon Color Cosmetic from Walmart insert 10/9
Pay $0.11 + tax, Receive $3 RR for Dove and $3 RR for Revlon
So you'll be getting about $18.36 worth for $0.37 plus tax and receive 2 - $3 RRs.
If you are shopping for the first time this week and have no Register Rewards, then your out of pocket (OOP) would be $8.00 because you wouldn't need to buy the Christmas Bags. You would just purchase the 4 bags of Hershey's Kisses and use 2 $1/2 coupons.
In the second transaction, you'll need to buy the Christmas bag because you're purchases equal $7.98 and the coupons equal a total of $8. We needed to find something to cover the $0.02 that Walgreens would owe you. Walgreens coupon policy will not allow them to pay you for overages, but their coupon policy does say that the cashier should 'adjust the coupon down'. This means that the cashier would put a coupon in the register as $0.98 instead of the $1 off. A lot of the cashiers don't know that is in Walgreens coupon policy. I personally don't like to tell the cashiers how to do their job (Ha!) so I usually just grab something cheap to cover the overage. You can read the Walgreens policy can be found here.
RR = Register Reward
Thanks to Hip2save.com, iheartwags.com, and krazycouponlady.com for the deals. I combined their scenarios with coupons and coupon match ups from the other sites.
